The Senior Engineer Automation Quality plays a key role in the development of robust and scalable automation frameworks. This role has ownership of automation initiatives for highly complex projects, mentoring lower level team members, and collaborating with other departments. Essential Functions: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. Create robust and scalable test automation frameworks and scripts independently. Expertise in design and development of complex automated test scripts. Lead the execution of automated test cases and interpret the results to identify issues. Identify, document, and manage software defects to resolution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. Assist with building automation strategies Assist in integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Mentor lower-level test/quality automation engineers and provide technical guidance. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in test automation and implement improvements. Participate in innovation efforts such as AI. Assist in setting automation best practices. Assist in documenting training materials and provide trainings on automation tools and frameworks. Required to do manual testing when needed Qualifications: 4-7 years overall testing experience with 2-4 years in automation testing or equivalent automation training Strong proficiency in Java programming language (Core concepts) Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. API Automation: Good experience with test automation tools Karate UI Automation: Good experience with test automation tools Selenium, JUnit, TestNG. Experience using CI/CD tool Jenkins and building pipelines Very Strong communication skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills, with an excellent ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex design and issues. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred Experience in mentoring test automation teams preferred.
