Senior Catering Operations Manager

Our client, a prestigious catering company renowned for its exceptional culinary experiences and event execution, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Catering Operations Manager. This hybrid role combines office-based strategic planning and client interaction with on-site event oversight. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of our catering operations, from menu planning and execution to staff management and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses a strong culinary background, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to lead teams in delivering flawless events. Responsibilities: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all catering events, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. Manage and train catering staff, including chefs, servers, and bartenders, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Develop and refine menus in collaboration with culinary teams, considering client preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal availability. Manage inventory, procurement of food and beverage supplies, and maintain cost controls to achieve profitability targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their vision is brought to life. Conduct site visits and event walk-throughs to assess logistical requirements and potential challenges. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations in food preparation and service. Develop and implement efficient operational procedures and staffing schedules for events. Handle client inquiries, provide quotes, and manage contracts and invoicing processes. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events to ensure client satisfaction. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in catering management, event planning, or a similar role within the food service industry. Proven experience in managing hybrid work environments, balancing remote planning with on-site event supervision. Strong culinary knowledge and understanding of food and beverage trends. Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules. Experience within the vibrant event scene of the Dallas, Texas, US area is a significant advantage.
