[Remote] Staff Software Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Henry Schein One is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to report to their American Fork, UT HQ and may work remotely from any approved state location. The role involves developing architectural solutions, improving operations through system analysis, and providing leadership and mentorship to other developers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & communicate cross-team architectural solutions
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement on company-wide applications
  • Oversee multiple domains
  • Improve operations by conducting system analysis & recommending changes in policies & procedures
  • Learn & understand state-of-the-art development tools & processes
  • Communicate architectural standards & mentor other developers in their use
  • Provide leadership to engineering guilds as subject-matter expert
  • Accomplish engineering missions by delivering results
  • Investigate problem areas, defining & facilitating solutions
  • Define best practices across multiple teams
  • Update all phases of software development lifecycle
  • Establish & promote reusable software patterns across multiple teams & disciplines
  • May require infrequent evening/weekend hours

Skills

  • Bachelor's in Comp Sci, Info Systems, Comp Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • 8 years of relevant development experience with Java, PHP, or Vue.js
  • 1 year of skills in common architecture patterns including Microservice architecture, Event driven architecture, Client-server architecture
