The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design and deliver machine learning and NLP solutions for risk and claims analytics. The role involves translating business problems into data science solutions, building ML/NLP models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate insights and monitor model performance.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into data science solutions aligned to KPI
• Build ML/NLP models for incident prioritization and claim severity prediction
• Perform data preparation, feature engineering, and record linkage
• Generate explainable insights for business stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, risk, and legal
• Monitor model performance, drift, and retraining need
• Document models, validate results, and ensure data governance compliance
• Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Skills

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (PhD preferred)
• 5+ years of data science or ML experience (2+ with PhD)
• Experience with Python, SQL, Spark, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience building and deploying ML models
• Experience with NLP, optimization (LP/MIP), and MLOps
• Knowledge of data governance and PII handling
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Background in risk, insurance, or claims analytics
