Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Vaco by Highspring is a growing, multi-entity organization seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. The role involves supporting month-end close, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and accounting operations across multiple business entities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, including:
• Depreciation
• Prepaid expenses
• Accruals
• Large payroll entries
• ERP-generated imports
• Perform account reconciliations and research and resolve reconciling items
• Manage lease accounting entries and fixed asset reconciliations
• Support accounting activities across multiple legal entities
• Work within and across various ERP systems and assist with system-related accounting processes
• Participate in month-end close activities and support continuous process improvements
• Collaborate with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on accounting experience will also be considered
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes
• Experience working in multiple ERP systems; experience with one or more ERP platforms is required
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Must have SHARED SERVICE ENVIRONMENT Experience
• Public accounting experience
• Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting experience
• Work-in-Process (WIP) reporting experience
• Experience working in multi-entity and acquisition-driven environments
• Exposure to distribution, manufacturing, or project-based accounting environments
