[Remote] Solutions Account Manager, Research Intelligence, Midwest, Colorado

Elsevier Inc. is a global leader in information and analytics, and they are seeking a Solutions Account Manager for Research Intelligence. In this role, you will partner with academic institutions to enhance research workflows through AI-powered solutions, focusing on building long-term partnerships and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth across a portfolio of AI‑powered research intelligence platforms, data licensing, and solutions products
  • Champion AI‑enabled research discovery, analytics, and insight tools that help customers work faster and more effectively
  • Use a consultative sales approach to understand customer challenges and develop tailored, high‑impact solutions
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with libraries, research offices, and academic leadership teams
  • Develop and execute account strategies that expand partnerships and deliver long‑term value
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using tools such as Salesforce, Gong and Clari
  • Gather and share market and competitive insights to inform product and go‑to‑market strategy
  • Represent Elsevier at academic conferences and higher‑education events to generate meaningful engagement and pipeline

Skills

  • Proven experience managing complex accounts and achieving revenue targets in a consultative sales environment
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior academic, research, or institutional stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of data, analytics, or technology‑enabled solutions, with curiosity about AI in research
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate customer needs into actionable account plans
  • Comfort working with CRM and forecasting tools to manage opportunities and performance
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams
  • Residence in one of the respective states is preferred but not required
