The role involves creating specifications and designs for new products, building cloud-native applications, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance product usability.

Responsibilities

• Serve within Product Development team to create specifications and designs for new products or improvements and enhancements to existing products
• Work closely with customers, developers and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in designs
• May solicit customers for feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements
• Build best-in-class, cloud-native and mobile applications that are reliable, scalable, secure and simple to use
• Write code that is optimized for high performance, high availability, and scalability
• Create and execute software development processes that meet product system requirements
• Complete documentation, support deployments and maintenance
• Perform testing and debugging of applications
• Support applications in production

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study
• 8 years of progressive experience in Software (App) Engineering or Software Engineering
• Demonstrated experience with Java and Python
• Agile software development process, including Scrum
• Spring and RESTful web services
• Test-driven development (TDD)
• Relational databases (including MSSQL) and at least one NoSQL databases
• OSGi, Camel, and Karaf
• Cucumber tests
• GIT, GitHub Actions, Confluence, and JIRA
• AWS including EKS, ALB, and ELB
• Kubernetes and Docker
• Messaging including AMQ or SNS
• Datadog
• Snowflake
