Community Health Systems is one of the nation's leading healthcare providers, and they are seeking a Project Portfolio Manager for their EHR initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing multi-project initiatives, aligning stakeholders, and managing program-level risks to deliver transformative business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Oversees multiple interrelated projects as a unified program with strategic business value
• Chairs steering committees and communicates effectively with executive stakeholders
• Drives cross-project dependency alignment, resource planning, and timeline negotiation
• Mentors and advises project managers on delivery methods and execution challenges
• Manages program-level budgets, KPIs, and benefits tracking
• Leads vendor negotiations and external partner collaboration
• Represents the program in strategic planning discussions and governance reviews
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Complies with all policies and standards

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related required
• 5-7 years of experience in project and/or program management required
• Expert in PPM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira) required
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI or obtained within six (6) months of employment required
• 10 + years of healthcare IT experience highly preferred
• 3 + years of program management experience highly preferred
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) implementations highly preferred
