Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Welo Data is seeking contributors for a global food delivery project. In this freelance role, you will review restaurant menu items written in French or Luxembourgish and classify them using a standardized taxonomy in Americanized English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze each menu item's name, category, and description written in French or Luxembourgish
• Check the item photo (if available) to visually verify the food type
• Assign the most accurate Dish Label from an English-language taxonomy dropdown using keywords like "pasta" or "grilled chicken."
• Select the appropriate Course Label in English (e.g., Appetizer, Main Course, Side Dish, Dessert, Beverage, Other)
• Provide a brief note for any items that seem unclear, ambiguous, or unusual to ensure no row is left blank

Skills

• Native French or Luxembourgish speaker currently based in Luxembourg
• Strong ability to confidently navigate and select from taxonomy options written in Americanized English
• Deep familiarity with Luxembourgish restaurant menus, local cuisine terminology, and regional ingredients
• Comfortable using a web browser to navigate structured data entry tasks
• A commitment to providing consistent, highly accurate, and quality work
• Ability to complete the assignment within 1–2 business days after receiving system access
