[Remote] Director Business Development Relocation - US Based Remote

Compass International Holdings is seeking a motivated and results-driven sales professional with proven experience in the relocation industry. This remote position is responsible for driving new business across the Northeast U.S. and Canada territory, focusing on strategic planning, client engagement, and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Territory Strategy & Prospecting: Develop and execute a strategic plan to identify and engage prospective clients within the assigned region
  • Lead Nurturing: Build strong relationships with prospects, assess business fit, and guide them through the sales cycle
  • Pricing & Profitability: Create competitive pricing strategies that align with company profitability goals
  • Proposal Development: Lead RFP responses in collaboration with technical writers and subject matter experts
  • Sales Presentations: Participate in client presentations, coordinate dry runs, and communicate win strategies
  • Contract Negotiation: Drive contract negotiations with support from the legal team
  • Client Onboarding: Ensure a seamless transition by partnering with client services and implementation teams
  • Special Projects: Manage strategic initiatives, trade conferences, and other projects as needed
  • Represent the Sales team at industry events and conferences, leveraging supplier relationships and hosting company-sponsored events
  • Foster strong internal and external partnerships to deliver innovative solutions and exceed client expectations

Skills

  • Ability to travel 20–30%
  • Minimum 2 years of successful experience selling outsourced services to multinational companies
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong presentation and networking skills (in-person and virtual)
  • Expertise in new business development and consultative selling, including crafting tailored value propositions
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a robust pipeline, understanding client needs and pain points
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
