[Remote] Analytics Developer 2

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Baylor Scott & White Health is the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas that promotes the well-being of individuals and communities. They are seeking an Analytics Developer 2 to provide moderately complex database analytics and reporting services, gathering data from multiple sources to create metrics that improve clinical and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document data requirements from customers. Examine and translate requirements into technical specifications, process and workflows
  • Assess, produce, or develop moderately complex information from various data sources. This includes reports, dashboards, interactive reporting, charts, graphs, and tables. Query data and generate the associated output. Distribute reports to agencies, researchers, management, and other customers
  • Examines and validates output and metrics to ensure data quality, reliability and integrity
  • Document project work assignments to include all needed technical documentation. This includes source to target mappings, data sources, definitions, methodologies, contact information, and output requirements. Include other information to ensure continuity of the process
  • Interprets data and deliverables like reports, dashboards, charts, graphs, and tables in plain business language for executive and clinical staff. Summarizes information effectively and creates digestible content by selecting suitable visualizations
  • Develops research from data to evaluate performance and drive business and clinical initiatives. Examines data for trends, observations, and improvements. Makes recommendations

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, Clinical or other similar degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3 Years of Experience
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers and related software applications
  • Excellent analytic skills, data manipulation, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent skills in using enterprise statistical and BI tools like Cognos, Tableau, QlikView, Excel PowerPivot, or SSRS
  • Excellent development skills in the use of programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R, or STATA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to design, develop and implement systems necessary to collect, maintain, and examine data
  • Ability to gather and examine data, statistical data and develop reports
  • Ability to work exclusively and as part of cross-functional teams
  • Ability to develop data analytics and BI applications in a clear and understandable manner meeting user requirement
  • Master's degree preferred
