About the role The Software Developer Co-Op writes front-end and back-end code that drives ITRG products. In this role, the student will gain hands-on experience working within a product development team, contributing to production code, and learning from Senior Developers to strengthen their technical and professional skills. Key Tasks Completes development coding and testing using Ruby on Rails. Participates in sprint and feature planning sessions; analyzes product vendor requirements and helps design technical solutions. Participates in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to development standards. Education and Experience Currently enrolled in a College Diploma or University Degree program with an active co-op component Some programming experience through academic, personal, or hobby projects Skills Software Development: Ability to program in at least one language (experience with Ruby on Rails is not required). Web Development: Basic familiarity with web development concepts and practices. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within project teams and contribute to shared goals. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and project owners. Problem Solving: Ability to analyze business requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
