Department: Natural Sciences Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a part-time faculty position in Biology. This position requires a commitment to teaching in a dynamic community college setting and the ability to successfully interact and respond to the broad ranging needs of an academically and culturally diverse campus setting. Courses may be online or in person dependent upon campus need. Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in biology with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline (preferably an Anatomy and Physiology preparation) is required.
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting involving a diverse student body, is preferred.
  • The successful candidate will possess competence and experience to develop, revise, implement and assess the curriculum to ensure that students are acquiring current knowledge, including familiarity with technology used in classroom settings.
  • The ability to utilize web-based educational technology is expected.
  • Candidates must have flexibility to teach day, evening, and weekend classes.
  • Teaching assignments may include off-campus sites and involve alternative delivery methods.
